This course introduces students to the fundamentals of Essbase and theories of multi dimensional database design. The course consists of a series of lessons, each one requiring the students to interact with the Essbase and complete challenging hands-on exercises.
The course begins with the concept of multi dimensionality and how it impacts reporting and analysis. Students will create database outlines, load data into the database, and calculate the data using calculation scripts.
This step-by-step method of instruction makes it possible for students without prior knowledge of multi dimensional databases to easily grasp the topics of discussion.
Course Goals
To provide students with a solid understanding of multi dimensional concepts.
To create a strong foundation with Essbase and its management tools.
To develop the knowledge to optimize Essbase and Essbase database.
To build and optimize basic calculations.
To complete hands-on exercises in an interactive, instructor-led environment.
