Course Overview

This course provides overview of Oracle BI Enterprise Edition 10g end-to-end functionalities. This course consists of a series of lessons to interactively teach students to get insight into many individual components of the product, including Answers, Dashboards and BI Publisher. Exercises will focus on illustrating real-world examples of how OBIEE+ functionality was applied to create Dashboards and reports. . Students learn how to use the Oracle Business Intelligence Server Administration Tool to build an Oracle BI Server repository, dimensional model and perform administrative tasks.

Course Goals

• To provide students with a solid understanding of Oracle BIEE product architecture
• Provide students a complete overview of Answers, Dashboards, BI Publisher
• To use Answers, Dashboards and BI Publisher to complete hands-on exercises in an interactive, instructor-led environment to build executive and business analytical oriented presentation dashboards
• Teach students interactively on how to build BI semantic models and perform administration tasks

Prerequisites

• Previous knowledge of data warehousing fundamentals is helpful
• Domain experience in business intelligence, data warehouse design, and database design needed for advanced concepts
• Familiarity with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) process / tools is helpful
