TUSC CEO Niemiec to Open IOUG Live! with Keynote Address

CEO is World-renowned Speaker, Author and Oracle Certified Master

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (April 27, 2005) -- TUSC Chief Executive Officer Richard J. Niemiec will get the annual International Oracle Users Group Live! convention off to an informative and energizing start May 2 when he delivers the opening keynote address to more than 2,000 Oracle users gathered at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel.

Niemiec, 43, an Oracle Certified Master, brings to the podium more than 20 years of technological experience and database expertise. He's recognized globally as a premier speaker and author, having delivered hundreds of technical and motivational speeches and written two best-selling educational books for Oracle Press and Osborne/McGraw-Hill.

IOUG Live! which convenes May 1-5, is the premier independent Oracle education event offering timely, real-world solutions and knowledge exchange with a network of fellow Oracle professionals.

In his keynote address -- "Exceptional Leadership: Be the Uncommon Leader!" -- Niemiec will engage in a stirring discussion that's designed to change lives. It's a non-technical talk that will get users ready for the upcoming week of technical sessions.

"Today's IT leader is now the pivotal position in an organization's business plan," Niemiec said. "This talk focuses on the attributes that a leader must have from a character perspective to combine with a technical prowess. To build a truly great organization, today's leader must build into the team integrity, moral courage, physical courage, tact, loyalty, unselfishness, initiative, enthusiasm, knowledge, respect, self-control and humility. The result will be the fortitude of an organization to handle any and all challenges."

Niemiec, who along with Chairman and Chief Architect Bradley D. Brown and President and Chief Operating Officer Joseph C. Trezzo founded TUSC in 1988, is the author of "Oracle Performance Tuning Tips & Techniques" and, most recently, "Oracle9i Performance Tuning Tips & Techniques" -- two of more than two dozen books from TUSC that feature a compilation of over 20 years of hands-on experience and real-life issues. In 2001, Oracle Corp. named him an Oracle Certified Master -- one of the first six so recognized globally.

Niemiec is former president of the IOUG and currently serves as vice president for its Real Application Clusters special interest group. He's the current president of the Midwest Oracle Users Group.

TUSC will have a large presence at IOUG Live! In addition to Niemiec's keynote, "The Oracle Experts" will be delivering nine other presentations throughout the week and will be quite visible in the exhibition hall (booth No. 217). To learn more of TUSC's appearance at IOUG Live!, click here.
