REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. (Dec. 6, 2004) -- Oracle consulting leader TUSC has won the 2004 North America Oracle PartnerNetwork Partner Solution of the Year Award in the category of Oracle Application Server.

Oracle Corp. made the official announcement and award presentation Dec. 5 on the eve of Oracle OpenWorld, the annual technology showcase in San Francisco. The award recognizes TUSC's excellence in solution development and business achievement. TUSC is a Certified Partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork, a global business network of more than 13,800 companies. TUSC's winning application was chosen from a large field of entries that included runners-up Accenture and Cisco Systems Inc.

TUSC was recognized for successfully implementing an enterprise solution at Philadelphia-based Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools. In particular, TUSC replaced four disparate legacy systems; implemented online access to CGFNS accounts for agents and applicants; re-engineered and implemented processes to conform to the new business structure; and migrated more than 20 years of historical data.

Streamlining CGFNS' payment processing and moving the processing responsibility into its finance department has drastically increased security; has significantly reduced the amount of time before monies reach CGFNS' bank account; and is now integrated with the corporate accounting system. Additionally, providing customers and recruiters online access to their accounts has allowed for nearly all credit card payments being entered online, eliminating internal data entry.

"TUSC's strength/expertise is identifying the business elements of a need and translating that into a viable IT solution," said Barbara L. Nichols, chief executive officer of CGFNS.

The Solution of the Year Award comes on the heels of the release of the latest book written by TUSC employees. "Oracle Application Server 10g Web Development," authored by Chairman/Chief Architect Bradley D. Brown and Technical Management Consultant Christopher Ostrowski, is one of more than 30 Oracle-related books TUSC has issued.

"TUSC has leveraged Oracle Technology and Applications to meet the needs of our joint customers," said Rauline Ochs, group vice president, North AmericaChannels, Oracle Corp. "TUSC has worked with us for more than a decade developing, implementing and deploying exciting new solutions based on Oracle."

TUSC also was named Internet Platform Partner of the Year in 2002.

"TUSC takes great pride in being recognized as one of the premier Oracle consulting companies in North America," said Brown. "The Solution of the Year Award is an honor all of our employees share in as they continue to deliver the most innovative and cost-effective business solutions for our customers."
