V$ Views for Oracle Database 10g
This poster displays the V$ Views for Oracle Database 10g categorized by major function. V$ (dynamic performance) views are a supplement to the data dictionary and contain valuable real-time information that is stored in the SGA. V$ views that are new in Oracle Database 10g are identified by the symbol "(10g)" after the name of each view. V$ views that have changed in Oracle Database 10g are identified by the symbol "(*)" after the name of each view (a change is the addition, renaming or deletion of columns).

Also, there is a set of GV$ (global fixed) views that are identical to the V$ views with the addition of an instance id column (inst_id), which allows for multiple instance retrieval in parallel server environments.
