Job Description

TUSC "The Oracle Experts" are currently seeking senior level Oracle RAC DBAs for our Lombard, IL facilities. You'll have the opportunity to get your hands on a variety of major projects. You'll manage the Oracle databases in a high availability production support environment.

Here's what you'll be doing: 9i/10gRAC implementations, upgrades and administration, performance tuning, backup/recoveries (hot /cold), installations, database cloning, database upgrades, database monitoring and operating system configurations in a team setting.

Job Requirements

• 9i/10gRAC implementation, upgrades, administration

• 9i/10g database installs, upgrades

• Extensive performance tuning in development and production environments

• Backup/recoveries/test recoveries (hot/cold)

• Conversions

• SQL, PL/SQL

• 7+ years experience

• *US Citizenship is Required*
• *NO Travel Required*

Responsibilities

• 9i/10gRAC implementation, upgrades, administration

• Translate client user requirements into technical architecture vision and implementation plan

• Oversight of tool evaluation and selection

• Hardware recommendations, sizing and configuration

• RDBMS installation, configuration and tuning

• Oversight and/or coordination of system testing phase

• Problem and issue resolution

• Mentoring and developing junior staff
• Participation in proposal development and client presentations
