As a Data Warehouse Architect, you will act as the primary day to day lead for the operation and direction of the project functional effort. The successful candidate will have demonstrated overall responsibility for project budgeting, planning, controlling and reporting status to upper management, scope management and directing employees, as well as the facilitation and coordination of communication among the team as well as with client management. You will have previous consulting experience and orientation toward developing a "trusted advisor" relationship with your previous clients.
Job Requirements
•
A minimum of 5 years experience managing large scale data warehouse and business intelligence solutions
•
A minimum of 7 years of relevant consulting experience preferred
•
Expertise and experience with structure methodologies and data warehousing frameworks such as the Corporate Information Factory.
•
Strong data modeling skills (i.e. conceptual, logical and physical model design, experience with Operation Data Stores, Enterprise Data Warehouses and Data Marts
•
Strong RDBMS knowledge of Oracle (release 9i and 10g)
•
Implementation experience with ETL concepts and tools such as: Oracle Warehouse Builder, Informatica, DataStage, and ab Initio
•
Implementation experience with one or more of the following BI/Enterprise Reporting tools: Oracle Discoverer, Business Objects, Cognos, Brio, and Microstrategy
•
Functional knowledge of Java and J2EE integration technologies
•
Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills
•
Possess exceptional client management skills.

Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to travel to client site as needed
•
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a relevant field
Responsibilities
•
Management, control, administration, budgeting and execution of full life cycle Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence projects.
•
Maintain overall project plan and resource management, including determination of resource role assignments
•
Navigate project politics coordinate project efforts with all business groups and project work teams
•
Facilitate and lead the gathering, consolidation and prioritization of client business requirements
•
Documentation and presentation of business requirements for a variety of audiences including executive sponsors, end users and technical designers.
•
Create end state functional business intelligence vision and implementation plan
•
Mentor and engage in the design ETL processes and data mappings as well as report and analytics design
•
Oversight and/or coordination of al project phases from strategy and requirements to deployment
•
Problem and issue resolution
•
Mentoring and developing junior staff
•
Participation in proposal development and client presentations
