Senior Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer

Job Description
As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer, you will act as the primary business analyst to define and design leading business intelligence solutions for our clients. The successful candidate should possess a combination of strong business requirements and analysis skills with deep technical expertise in data mart design, reporting and analytics. You will also have previous consulting experience utilizing a structured delivery methodology.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years experience implementing business intelligence solutions
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant consulting experience preferred or 10 years of corporate IT
- Expert dimensional data modeling skills (i.e. star schemas for ROLAP and MOLAP Data Marts)
- Expert knowledge of Oracle programmable server components (release 9i and 10g)
- Implementation experience with one or more of the following BI/Enterprise Reporting tools from: Oracle, Business Objects, Cognos, Brio, and Microstrategy
- Implementation experience with one or more of the following analytics technologies: SAS, Oracle Data Miner, SPSS, KXEN and R.
- Implementation experience with any of a variety of data visualization and graphical analysis technologies
- Functional knowledge of Java and J2EE based portal technologies including Oracle Portal, WebSphere Portal, and BEA Portal.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess exceptional client management skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to travel to client site as needed
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a relevant field
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and lead the gathering, consolidation and prioritization of client business requirements
- Documentation and presentation of business requirements for a variety of audiences including executive sponsors, end users and technical designers.
- Create end state functional business intelligence vision and implementation plan
- Design and develop the architecture for all business intelligence solution components (e.g. data marts, reporting, OLAP, analytics, user access privileges/security and portal integration)
- Design of business intelligence application solutions including database design, report design and analytics integration
- Oversight of tool evaluation and selection
- Oversight and/or coordination of user acceptance testing phase
- Problem and issue resolution
- Mentoring and developing junior staff
- Participation in proposal development and client presentations
