Job Description
TUSC is currently looking to add talented Oracle Application DBA Consultants to our growing consulting team. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years experience as an Oracle Applications DBA with recent skills in Oracle release 9i and 11i.
Job Requirements
Candidates must have 3-5 years of Oracle experience with at least one full life cycle Oracle 9i implementation/upgrade project completion in an Application DBA role. Previous consulting experience is a plus.
Skills Required
Must have 3-5 years experience as an Oracle Applications DBA, which encompasses installing, upgrading, and supporting Oracle Applications software and the associated Oracle Technology stack in a multi-tier environment including: database server, applications server, web server, concurrent processing server, reports server, forms server, admin server, and discoverer server environment. Experience with Oracle Applications 11i and Oracle Database 9i product versions in UNIX and NT environments is a must as well as hands-on experience with Oracle Application and Database experience, which includes patching, upgrades, and admin utilities console. Knowledge in underlying Oracle Applications database architecture - schemas/products, database objects, file system structure, tables, views, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, sequences, indexes, and constraints is a must. A must have is Oracle Database Administration experience with configuration, load balancing, backup/recovery, sizing and space management, PL/SQL tuning, diagnostics, and proficient with the use of Oracle's Enterprise Manager tool. Must experience opening, managing, and resolving Oracle TAR's and have installation of portal experience. Applications and plain vanilla DBA experience is a plus.
Skills Preferred
Strong interpersonal, communication, and client-facing skills, which demonstrates confidence and fosters a "Trusted Advisor" relationship with the client.
Responsibilities
Implement and/or upgrade Oracle Application solutions to our clients. Design & build the specific application business process model to meet the business requirements; responsible for the process related task of the deliverables and application set up. Provide technical expertise in application & industry standards. Identify tools and techniques within the Oracle Application in designing the solutions.
Education
BA or BS degree in Computer Science or related degree.
Travel Requirements
Must be open to 100% travel.
